Soooo I have not been on here for quite awhile..Alot has happened since my last post. I just want to start by saying that I went to my first concert in about 8 months last week. It was an Allstar Weekend,The ready set,We are the in crowd,The downtown fiction,and plug in stereo concert. It was at the Bottom lounge in Chicago. I got there about 9 am and there were 2 girls named Paige and Sam with Sam's dad. We started talking as soon as I got there. We spent the whole day talking and laughing as if we had known each other for years! I should probably mention that I was all alone also haha! I'm a brave 19 year old girl to travel 4 hours away to chicago by myself. My mother also called me her dumbest child because none of her other kids would ever do that. But anyway,Paige,Sam,Sam's dad,and I waited outside from about 9 am to about 5:30 that night. And I would just like to point out that when I looked at the weather before I left my hotel that day it said it was supposed to be about 60 degrees and sunny out. They were completely wrong! It ended up being probably between 30 and 40 degrees and cloudy with some rain. And I happened to be wearing shorts. Lucky me! Luckily I did have a hoodie on! By the time they let us in,we could not feel anything. I couldn't even text OR write anything. But while we waited that 8 and a half hours,I REALLY wanted starbucks..And with my luck the nearest starbucks was half a mile away. And keep in mind this was the west side of Chicago...And I was determined to get my starbucks! Soo me being the dumb child that I am I decided to take the risk and walk by myself to find a starbucks. So I walked until I finally found it. I had to stop and ask a couple of people where it was (Don't tell my parents I talked to strangers haha) But I DID find it. And it was worth it to have that iced vanilla latte! So I sat in there to rest and warm up for a few minutes the I started walking back. right after I left,i happened to see across the street Oprahs studio. I was tempted to walk over there and take pictures BUT I figured i had been gone long enough and Paige and Sam probably thought I got killed or something so I just kept walking. I finally got back to the venue and they did in fact think something happened to me. In fact,they were coming up with scenarios about what could have happened. But i was finally back there and almost dead from the walk so I sat down against the building and drank my draaank..This was such a long day..But then Allstar's prom tour bus pulled up..After going in circles for awhile! Not that they were on it yet because they were still at their fearless radio interview. But girls thought they were on it so they insisted on freaking out and yelling for the guys. But about an hour later the guys showed up randomly to get on the bus. Then we all got our hands marked for being under 21 and by then it was about time to go in. Girls went crazy when they opened the doors..Which is just one of THE most annoying things! And after we got inside and got out tickets scanned they put under 21 bracelets on...And then we were finally inside. Then we still have wait over 3o minutes in a huge mob of people. It was so packed in there that nobody could barely move. And it really didn't help that they WOULD NOT hold still..Then when it started it really sucked that everyone felt the need to push. If I would have been in the front it would have been a lot better because at least then I could have held onto the stage. But in all the concert was pretty good. All the bands did an AMAZING job! Then right after the show was over Paige,Sam and I made our way through all the people to the bathroom to clean up and stuff before meeting the bands. And we headed straight to Allstar weekend. And once we got our pics with them (which all failed terribly) we were going to try to meet the other bands but then we were being told that we had to leave in the next 5 minutes! Which really sucked because we were looking forward to meeting all of the bands! So instead of trying to meet anyone else I just went to the merch tables to buy what I wanted. And by that time they said we HAD to get out right then. So Sam's dad gave me a ride to the blue line train so i could get back to my hotel. It took awhile to find it but we finally did after stopping and asking 3 cops and a couple who was taking their dog on a walk. But i eventually got to my hotel. And by then it was about 2 am and I went to bed to had to get up at 4:30 am to catch the blue line to get back to union station to catch my 7:30 am train back home. I got back in town about 11 am and then my dad came and picked me up from the train station. And that was my exciting trip to Chicago by myself! I'm hoping to go to quite a few more concerts this summer. I have a couple Allstar weekend and selena gomez concerts in mind and then I would love to go see we the king,the summer set,the downtown fiction and action item..And I would also LOVE to interview allstar weekend at some point if possible. I guess we'll see what happens!! Much love to everyone! <3
